How to download a Monzo bank statement

Monzo bank statements: the route from Home to Bank statements, the choice of PDF, CSV or QIF, Pots, and the statement Monzo sends when an account is closed.

Convert your Monzo statement to Excel for free

Monzo lets you pick the format of a bank statement in the app: PDF, CSV or QIF. This guide follows the route to Bank statements, the format choice, what Monzo says about original documents and Pots, the Monzo Business route, and the statement it sends when an account is closed.

Home, the three dots, Bank statements

The Monzo help page begins “Here’s how to find and download all your statements (including Pots):” and goes on through five taps: “Tap Home in your app’s menu bar”, “Tap the three dots underneath your card”, “Tap Bank statements”, “Choose the date range you’d like” and, last, “Choose the format you’d like (PDF, CSV, QIF)”. 1. 1Tap Home in the app’s menu bar.
  2. 2Tap the three dots underneath your card.
  3. 3Tap Bank statements.
  4. 4Choose the date range you’d like.
  5. 5Choose the format you’d like (PDF, CSV, QIF).

The format is your choice

The last tap is a choice between three formats, and the file for ExtractPro is the PDF. Monzo also describes what the statements are: “All of our bank statements are original documents. So you shouldn’t need to get them stamped or signed for your mortgage or visa application.” Source: Monzo, Getting a bank statement, monzo.com/help/account-and-profile/bank-statement-how-to, accessed 10 October 2026.

Monzo Business

Business accounts have a page of their own, which says to “choose your format (PDF, CSV, QIF)” and, on the web, to “tap the Export statement button on the home screen”. Source: Monzo, Business bank statement, monzo.com/help/business-accounts/business-bank-statement, accessed 10 October 2026.

After an account is closed

For a closed account Monzo writes: “When we’ve closed your account, we’ll send you an email and attach a statement with your full payment transaction history.” It protects the file: “To keep things safe and secure, we’ll password protect the document and we’ll text you the password to open it.” When you upload that file to ExtractPro, type the password at the upload. The page gives no period for how far back the statements go; it says “all your statements” and nothing more, so no figure is quoted here.

From the Monzo PDF to Excel

Choose PDF in the app, save the file and give it to ExtractPro unchanged. The workbook that returns has an entry for each transaction on its own row, the date, description and amount in separate columns, amounts held as numbers, and the balance too when the statement shows it.

Tick off the result by looking at two things on the sheet: the balance at the bottom against the statement’s last balance, and the count of rows against the count of transactions. The Monzo page on ExtractPro:
