How do you convert your HSBC Hong Kong bank statement to Excel?

ExtractPro converts an HSBC Hong Kong eStatement PDF into an Excel file (.xlsx): one transaction per row, with the date, description and amount in separate columns (and the balance, when the statement shows it). HSBC says “All eStatements and eAdvices are in Portable Document Format (PDF).” and that eStatements for integrated accounts, HKD current accounts and HKD savings accounts “are retained up to 84 months”. In Online Banking the route is Banking, then eStatements & eAdvices, then View eStatements and eAdvices. The bank is at hsbc.com.hk.

How to use View eStatements and eAdvices in HSBC Hong Kong Online Banking

  1. Log on to HSBC Online Banking and hover over Banking on the top menu.
  2. Under eStatements & eAdvices, select View eStatements and eAdvices.
  3. Filter by Category, Account and Document type, then scroll down and select the eStatement you wish to view.
  4. It downloads automatically. HSBC says eStatements are in PDF, and that PDF is the file to upload to ExtractPro.

“Step 1: Log on to HSBC Online Banking. Hover over 'Banking' on the top menu. Under 'eStatements & eAdvices', select 'View eStatements and eAdvices'. · Step 2: Filter to the account or accounts you'd like to see eStatements / eAdvices for by choosing the 'Category', 'Account' and 'Document type' you want from the dropdown selections. · Step 3: Scroll down and select the eStatement / eAdvice you wish to view.
