How do you convert your PTSB bank statement to Excel?
A PTSB statement taken from the PTSB App or from Open24 Online Banking goes into ExtractPro and returns as an Excel file (.xlsx), with a row for each transaction and the date, description and amount in separate columns (and the balance, when the statement shows it). PTSB says “You will be able to view your eStatement as a PDF on your mobile device or save to another app or location.” The footer of ptsb.ie reads “Permanent TSB plc trading as PTSB and PTSB Asset Finance is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.”
How to download your PTSB statement from “eStatements” in the app or “View eStatements” in Open24 Online Banking
- In the PTSB App, select “eStatements”, then the account you want to view.
- Select the statement you wish to download and click the download icon.
- In Open24 Online Banking, select “View more transactions”, then the “Statements” tab, then “View eStatements”.
- Input the verification code and select View.
“Select the statement you wish to download and click the download icon.”

Does PTSB document an export of transactions, and what does a duplicate cost?
The PTSB help pages on statements explain how to view and save a statement and give no description of an export of transactions. For Open24 Online Banking they say “Input the verification code and select View. Your eStatement will open in a separate tab in your browser.” On duplicates they say “A duplicate statement fee is charged at €2.50 per page. This is capped at €20 per individual account request.”
