FNB App steps for a verified statement, the 12 stamped statements that business accounts get online, and the export types listed in Online Banking Enterprise.

FNB gives the statement you save in its app a name of its own, a verified statement, and it publishes a how-to guide for it. This guide goes through those steps, then the stamped statements that FNB mentions for business accounts and the export types listed in Online Banking Enterprise.

The FNB App and the verified statement

The guide is titled “How to download a verified statement” and begins “Download a verified statement when you need it, anywhere, anytime.” Its closing step reads “Click download icon to save verified statement onto your smartphone” and it adds “You will be able to access your verified statement from your cellphone files or use a PDF viewer”. Business accounts: the stamped statements and their cost

FNB’s business pricing guide, which runs “1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027”, lists among the benefits of a business account “Your last 12 stamped statements available on Online Banking or on the FNB App”. In its table of statement fees, “No charge” sits beside “Your recent 12 stamped statements available online or on the FNB App”, whereas “R12.60 per statement” sits beside “Historical statements: After your 12 recent statements available online or on the FNB App”. Online Banking Enterprise: exports of its own

Online Banking Enterprise has a help page on statements. It says “Scheduled Exports can be set up per transactional account for Transaction History, Interim Statements and/or your final Statements.” The list of statement types it gives includes “Statement Type - CSV”, “Statement Type - OFX”, “Statement Type - QIF” and “Statement Type - PDF”. An export of that kind belongs to the enterprise service; the verified or stamped statement from the app is a separate document, and it is the one ExtractPro converts. From the FNB verified statement to Excel

Send the file the app saved to ExtractPro as it stands. In the workbook you get back, every transaction is a row, the date, description and amount sit in separate columns, the amounts are numbers, and there is a balance column as well when the statement shows it. A password on the file is typed at the upload step.

Before relying on the result, count the rows against the transactions it lists and, when the statement shows a closing balance, hold the workbook’s final balance up to it. FNB has a page on ExtractPro:

Frequently asked questions

Is a verified statement at FNB the same file as a stamped statement?

FNB’s app guide uses the words “verified statement”, and its business pricing guide uses “stamped statements”. Whichever one you saved from FNB is the file to upload, and ExtractPro gives each transaction a row.

Where is the file after the FNB App saves it?

FNB says “You will be able to access your verified statement from your cellphone files or use a PDF viewer”. When ExtractPro asks for the upload, pick the file from your phone.

Do I have to edit the FNB file before uploading it?

No, upload it exactly as it was saved. A password, if the file has one, is entered during the upload and the file is unlocked in your browser.
