How to download a Standard Bank statement
Standard Bank Banking App: Your documents, VIEW & SAVE and the 6-Month statement, then the stamped statements and export formats for business customers.
Standard Bank puts the statement behind a button called VIEW & SAVE in its Banking App. This guide follows that route, the history of previous statements that the app offers and, for business customers, the stamped statements in the pricing guide and the export formats of Online Banking for Business.
The Banking App: Your documents
The help page opens with “Get your stamped bank statements, confirmation letters and more on your Banking App.” The step to look for is “Scroll down to Your documents and tap VIEW & SAVE.”, and the one after it is “Tap the 6-Month statement option.” Source: Standard Bank, help centre: How to get bank account documents, www.standardbank.co.za/southafrica/personal/products-and-services/ways-to-bank/help-centre/bank-account-documents, accessed 11 October 2026.
- 1Go to your home screen and select the account you need a statement for.
- 2Scroll down to “Your documents” and tap “VIEW & SAVE”.
- 3Tap the “6-Month statement” option.
- 4Choose to download it to your device or send it as an email.
Download it, send it, or go further back
The same page gives the two ways to receive the statement: “You can choose to either Download it to your device or Send it as an email to your preferred email address.” For months beyond the one you picked it says “Scroll down to Previous statements to get a history of monthly statements for your account.” Source: Standard Bank, help centre: How to get bank account documents, www.standardbank.co.za/southafrica/personal/products-and-services/ways-to-bank/help-centre/bank-account-documents, accessed 11 October 2026.
Business accounts: stamped statements online
The business pricing guide for 2026 has a row “3 Month Stamped Statements” that shows “Free” in the “Online Banking/Mobile App” column. Online Banking for Business: formats with and without balances
A how-to guide on downloading transaction history says “File exports allow users to download their account transactions, or payment data in various formats (such as OFX | CSV | PDF | EXCEL | QFX | QBO).” and “The client can choose from several export options, including CSV, OFX, QFX, QBO, PDF, and XLSX.” It names two CSV files, “Transactions_without_balances.csv” and “Transactions_with_balances.csv – includes running balances for easier spreadsheet tracking.” Those exports are a feature of the business service; a stamped statement saved from the Banking App is another document, and it is what ExtractPro converts. From the Standard Bank statement to Excel
Whether you downloaded the statement or received it by email, upload it unaltered. The result is a workbook with one row per transaction, three separate columns for date, description and amount, numeric amounts, and a balance column when the statement shows it. If the file has a password, it is typed during the upload.
Look at the result beside the original. Each transaction printed there needs a row of its own. If the statement shows a closing balance, the last balance in the workbook ought to match it too. The Standard Bank page on ExtractPro:
