How to download an Emirates NBD bank statement

What Emirates NBD says about the e-Statement, authenticated statements and how far back they go, then the businessONLINE steps and the MT940 download.

Convert your Emirates NBD statement to Excel for free

What Emirates NBD says about getting a statement depends on the kind of account. For personal accounts its help pages name the channels, the protection on the file and the limits; for business banking it publishes numbered steps in a businessONLINE guide. This guide sets out both in the bank’s own words, then the route to Excel.

Personal accounts: the e-Statement and the authenticated statement

The bank’s e-Statements page says “Your e-Statement will be sent in PDF format to your registered email address in our records.” On protecting the file it answers “Yes, the e-Statement is password protected, and the password is the primary CIF ID. The CIF ID is the middle 8 digits of your account number.” Source: Emirates NBD, E-Statements, www.emiratesnbd.com/en/ways-of-banking/e-statements, accessed 12 October 2026.

For an official copy there is a separate page. It says “Authenticated statements are stamped statements issued on the bank’s letterhead, for official business or government purposes.” and names the channels: “You can now effortlessly and instantly request for authenticated statements at no cost through the new Mobile Application, Online Banking, WhatsApp Banking, Website or through our Contact Center.” Source: Your account authenticated statement | Support | Emirates NBD, www.emiratesnbd.com/en/help-and-support/all-about-your-authenticated-statement, accessed 12 October 2026.

How far back a stamped statement goes is set on the request page: “Maximum of 6 months statements can be requested via the website.” and, beyond that, “up to 3 years tenure by visiting the nearest branch”. Source: Authenticated Bank Statement Request | Emirates NBD, www.emiratesnbd.com/en/self-service/authenticated-statement-request, accessed 12 October 2026.

A credit card has a page of its own, and on a lost copy it says “If you’ve deleted or lost your statement, you can request a duplicate one for up to one year using one of the options below:” with the options listed on that page. From the Emirates NBD statement to Excel

Give ExtractPro the file you hold, whether that is the e-Statement from your inbox, a stamped statement or the PDF from businessONLINE. The workbook that comes back has a row for each transaction, the date, description and amount in separate columns, amounts stored as numbers, and a balance column as well when the statement shows it. If the file has a password, type it at the upload step.

Treat the workbook as a draft until it has been read against the statement: the number of rows should equal the number of transactions listed, and the workbook’s last balance should equal the closing balance if the statement prints one. Emirates NBD has a page on ExtractPro:

Frequently asked questions

Which channels can issue an authenticated statement at Emirates NBD?

The bank’s page lists “Mobile Application, Online Banking, WhatsApp Banking, Website or through our Contact Center” and says “The statement is free of charge through the new Mobile and Online Banking application.” Whichever channel produced the statement, upload the file you were given.

Is the e-Statement the same document as an authenticated statement?

Emirates NBD describes them apart. Of the e-Statement it says “Yes, your e-Statements will have the same look and feel of your paper statement, but your account number and your address will be masked for your own security.” An authenticated statement is, in its words, “stamped statements issued on the bank’s letterhead”. Either one is a statement document that can be uploaded.

Can I upload one of the formats businessONLINE offers?

The guide lists “PDF Excel CSV” as the formats for downloading a statement. That is the bank’s own export from the business service. The PDF it gives, like an e-Statement, is a statement file, and ExtractPro reads a statement supplied as a PDF or as an Excel file (.xlsx, .xls).
