How to download an HSBC Australia statement
HSBC Australia shows 90 days of transactions online and keeps seven years of statements as PDFs. The Manage route, the app steps and the conversion to Excel.
HSBC Australia lists recent transactions online for 90 days but keeps statements for seven years, as PDFs. For any period older than those 90 days, the statement PDF is the record, and the file ExtractPro converts. Here is the route in Online Banking and in the app.
Manage, then View/Download Statements
HSBC Australia’s online banking FAQs give the route: “…you can always download a PDF of a historical statement online. Just select the account, then click the 'Manage' button, and 'View/Download Statements'.” Source: HSBC Australia, Online banking FAQs, www.hsbc.com.au/faqs/online-banking/, accessed 7 October 2026.
- 1Log on to HSBC Australia Online Banking and select the account.
- 2Click the Manage button.
- 3Choose View/Download Statements and download the PDF of the statement you need.
- 4Upload that PDF to ExtractPro.
Ninety days online, seven years of statements
The same FAQs set both windows. For transactions: “To view older transactions (up to 90 days), select 'View more' or use the 'Search' tool.” For statements: “You would be able to download statements as far as 7 years old.” The eStatements page describes “up to seven years of statement history in a convenient PDF format”.
In the HSBC Australia app
HSBC Australia’s guide to statements in the app reads: “Select 'Manage account'. Select 'View statements'.” and then “You can download the e-statement with the share icon.”
From the HSBC Australia PDF to Excel
Feed the statement PDF to ExtractPro and you get an .xlsx where each transaction has its own row, with date, description and amount in columns (and the balance, when the statement shows it), the amounts saved as numbers.
Before using it, make sure the Excel file and the PDF agree on the closing balance and on how many transactions there are. HSBC Australia’s page on ExtractPro:
