How do you convert your NAB bank statement to Excel?

If a NAB bank statement reaches you as a PDF, ExtractPro converts it into an Excel file (.xlsx) with a row per transaction and the date, description and amount in their own columns (and the balance, when the statement shows it). NAB says: “In NAB Internet Banking you can access up to seven years of bank account statements, and up to two years in the NAB app.” Its guide goes through Account statements, a date range and Download, without naming the file type. On frequency, NAB says: “Unless you've requested otherwise, for most accounts you'll receive a statement every six months.” The bank is at nab.com.au.

FAQ

About NAB statements

01

Can I turn NAB Internet Banking statements into a spreadsheet?

Yes. When the NAB statement you download is a PDF, ExtractPro rebuilds it as an Excel sheet, one transaction under another, sorted by date.

02

How many NAB statements can I download at once?

Up to 25. NAB’s guide says: “You can select up to 25 statements.” The downloads then land where your browser keeps files: “Statements will appear in your browser's download folder.”

03

What does NAB let you export from the transaction history?

NAB’s transaction history page covers it in two sentences. On the period: “View up to two years (731 days) of transactions.” On the formats: “Select Export to export all or some of your transactions in a spreadsheet, QIF file or PDF.”
