How to download a Hang Seng business bank statement
Hang Seng business e-Banking: the e-Services route to View e-Statement, the 7-year retention, the HKD50 copy charge, and the e-Statement PDF.
This guide covers business e-Banking at Hang Seng. The steps below are the ones the bank gives for business accounts: a business user goes through e-Services, e-Statement and View e-Statement. What Hang Seng says about personal customers sits further down.
The route in business e-Banking
A Hang Seng guide for business e-Banking says: “Simply log in and go to "e-Services" > "e-Statement" > "View e-Statement" to view and download PDF files by date or account number”. - 1Log in to Hang Seng business e-Banking.
- 2Go to e-Services, then e-Statement.
- 3Select View e-Statement.
- 4View and download by date or account number.
Format, retention and copies
On the format, the FAQ for business e-Banking says: “All e-Statements/e-Advices are in Portable Data Format (PDF)/HTML (if applicable)”. On how long they stay, it gives e-Statements as “retained … for 7 years from the issuance date”. A copy is a charged service: “The service charge per copy per cycle is HKD50.” Source: Hang Seng Bank, e-Statement and e-Advice FAQ for business e-Banking, www.hangseng.com/business/banking-digitally/business-ebanking/e-services-faq/e-statement-and-e-advice/, accessed 8 October 2026.
What happens after seven years
The same FAQ is plain about the end of the period: “All e-Statements / e-Advices will be deleted automatically after the retention period.” A business that wants a statement older than that has to have kept its own copy, so it is worth saving each one as it is issued.
Personal customers
Hang Seng’s page for personal customers describes online access “up to past 7 years of statements and past 6 months of advices” through Personal e-Banking or the Personal Banking mobile app. The path on that page is for registering and maintaining the service: “Logon to Personal e-Banking > Customer Services > Account Maintenance > Account List and maintain e-Statement / e-Advice”. The viewing steps above are the business ones. From the business PDF to Excel
A business e-Statement saved as a PDF goes into ExtractPro unchanged. The .xlsx you download lists every transaction on its own row, with date, description and amount apart from each other, a balance column when the e-Statement shows it, and amounts that are numbers and not text.
To finish, match the last balance in the workbook to the e-Statement and tally the rows against its transactions. Hang Seng on ExtractPro:
