Maybank Singapore serves eStatements through Maybank2u. Three Maybank documents are used below: the page for the Online Banking route, an app FAQ, “Updated as at 9 July 2020”, that gives the format, and the eStatement FAQ, “Last updated: 4 May 2023”, that gives the period. The dates matter, so they are repeated wherever a FAQ is used.

The route in Maybank2u Online Banking

Maybank’s digital services guide says that after you choose View eStatement from an account on your dashboard: “You will land on the View eStatements page. What the 2020 app FAQ says

The “MAYBANK2u SG APP - eStatement FAQ”, “Updated as at 9 July 2020”, says “Select the eStatement you wish to view. It will appear in PDF format.” On the period, Maybank’s current eStatement FAQ, “Last updated: 4 May 2023”, answers: “You can view eStatements from the past 12 months.” Sources: Maybank Singapore, MAYBANK2u SG APP - eStatement FAQ (PDF on maybank2u.com.sg), updated as at 9 July 2020, accessed 8 October 2026; Maybank Singapore, eStatement FAQ (PDF on maybank2u.com.sg, linked from its personal FAQs page), last updated 4 May 2023, accessed 10 October 2026.

When there is no eStatement

Maybank’s PDF guide “How to View and Download eStatements on Maybank2u Online Banking” has a step for the download, “Select the type and month of your eStatement, and click on the corresponding download icon”, and a note: “Do note that not all statements will be available as eStatements. As an alternative, you may opt to download the transaction history.” The transaction history is Maybank’s alternative to the eStatement; a saved eStatement is what you upload. Twelve months against five years

The Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) states for companies: “for at least 5 years from the relevant Year of Assessment (YA)”, and its list of records to keep includes bank statements. Maybank’s 2020 FAQ gives 12 months, so the statements a company must keep are not all in view at once. From the Maybank PDF to Excel

Take the PDF as Maybank saved it and upload it to ExtractPro. The .xlsx you download has the transactions one to a row, date, description and amount separated into columns, a balance column when the eStatement shows it, and amounts that are numbers. Should the file need a password, type it during the upload and the PDF is opened in your browser.

To finish, compare the workbook’s last balance with the eStatement and its number of rows with the transactions listed. The Maybank Singapore page on ExtractPro:

Frequently asked questions

What do I click once I have chosen the month in Maybank2u?

The guide says to “click on the corresponding download icon” for the type and month of eStatement you selected.

Is the 12-month figure still current?

Maybank’s eStatement FAQ, “Last updated: 4 May 2023”, repeats it: “You can view eStatements from the past 12 months.” The older app FAQ, “Updated as at 9 July 2020”, gave the same period.

How do I compare the workbook with the Maybank eStatement?

Put them next to each other: the workbook’s last balance should be the one the eStatement ends on, and the rows should be as many as the transactions it lists.
