How do you convert your BMO bank statement to Excel?
A BMO statement, such as an eStatement viewed from your account online, is turned by ExtractPro into an Excel file (.xlsx) that lists the transactions one per row, giving the date, description and amount their own columns (the balance too, if the statement shows it). BMO’s Canadian pages are at bmo.com/en-ca, where its page on managing your account says “eStatements have the same look and details of paper statements”. For business banking, BMO also publishes a guide to Online Banking for Business, and the numbered steps below come from that guide.
How to download BMO “Account Statements” in Online Banking for Business (business banking)
- Select “Account Statements” from the “eStatements” menu under the “Account Information” tab.
- Choose the From and To dates and select the accounts for which you would like to view statements.
- Click “Search”: the results are displayed on the “Statement Download” screen.
- Click the link in the “Statement Date” column to open a statement.
“To access a statement in PDF format, click on the link in the Statement Date column.”
