How do you convert your EQ Bank statement to Excel?

An EQ Bank statement, the one you open with “View statements” in the EQ Bank app or “Bank statements” in online banking, can be uploaded to ExtractPro, and the Excel file (.xlsx) it returns carries a row per transaction, with date, description and amount in separate columns (and the balance, if the statement prints it). EQ Bank’s help pages are at eqbank.ca, and its Personal Account Agreement says “EQ Bank is a trade name of Equitable Bank.”

FAQ

About EQ Bank statements

01

Can I upload the monthly account statement I download from EQ Bank?

Yes. The EQ Bank common questions page answers “How do I download my monthly account statement?” and, for the app, says “Under “Manage my account,” click on “View documents,” then “View statements.”” For a web browser, the answer reads “Using a web browser, sign in to online banking. Under “My accounts,” click on “Bank statements.”” Upload the downloaded statement; the Excel file puts one transaction on each row, amounts held as numbers.

02

What does the EQ Bank Personal Account Agreement say about paper statements?

The EQ Bank agreement says “Statements are available for download through Online Banking only.” and “You understand and agree that paper copies of your account statement will not be provided by us.” So the online statement is the one to upload.

03

Is there a time limit on EQ Bank statements, and a separate download for savings?

The EQ Bank Personal Account Agreement says “Statements are available for seven years after the end of the period to which they relate.” On a savings account, the EQ Bank common questions page also says “You can download a CSV file containing your account transactions by clicking on the download icon (to the left of the printer icon).” That CSV is a separate file from the statement. The statement is the one ExtractPro converts.
