How to download a CIMB bank statement
CIMB eStatements in CIMB Clicks: the My Accounts route, the Services route, the 18 months CIMB gives and what the bank says about securing the file.
CIMB describes the eStatement across several short FAQ pages: what it is, how long it stays available, whether it is secured and which route in CIMB Clicks leads to it. This guide takes the two routes the bank gives, then the length and the lock, then the way to Excel.
In CIMB Clicks, from My Accounts
The page on which CIMB accounts can reach an eStatement lists the account types, among them “Current Account / Current Account-i” and “Savings Account / Savings Account-i”, and then two routes. The first runs “Login to CIMB Clicks”, “Select My Accounts > View/Download Statement”, “Select the month” and “Download your statement”. - 1Log in to CIMB Clicks.
- 2Select “My Accounts > View/Download Statement”.
- 3Select the month.
- 4Download your statement.
The second route, through Services
The same page gives a second route, from Services: “Click on Services”, “Go to eStatement > View eStatement”, “Click on Deposit, Loan/Financing, Investment tab”, “Select the Month” and “Download your statement”. A customer FAQ for deposit accounts, marked “Updated on 24 August 2024”, words it as “Step 1: Login to CIMB Clicks www.cimbclicks.com.my”, “Step 2: Select Services > eStatement > Click on ‘View eStatement’”, “Step 3: Select the month” and “Step 4: Download the statement.” Source: What are the types of CIMB accounts that can access eStatement?, www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/help-support/faq/cimb-clicks-online-banking/estatement/what-are-the-types-of-cimb-accounts-that-can-access-estatement.html; CUSTOMER FAQ, www.cimb.com.my/content/dam/cimb/personal/documents/important-notices/estatement/faq-for-deposit-accounts-eng.pdf, accessed 14 October 2026.
What CIMB says an eStatement is
The first page of the series answers “What is eStatement?” with “eStatement is a PDF version of your monthly account statement. You have the option to download it from CIMB Clicks or have it delivered to your email (Email Statement Delivery).” Source: What is eStatement?, www.cimb.com.my/en/personal/help-support/faq/cimb-clicks-online-banking/estatement/what-is-estatement.html, accessed 14 October 2026.
The 18 months, and a locked file
On the length, CIMB says “eStatement will be available for viewing and retrieval up to a maximum period of 18 months.” On security it says “Yes, eStatements are secured as your information is protected with the latest security features and requires a PDF password that only you know.” A file that asks for a password gets it at the upload step, and ExtractPro opens it in your browser from there. From the CIMB eStatement to Excel
Whatever CIMB eStatement you end up with, from CIMB Clicks or from a client, is the file to upload. The workbook that comes back gives every transaction a row, keeps the date, the description and the amount in columns of their own, stores the amounts as numbers and adds a balance column when the statement shows it.
Put the workbook next to the eStatement and compare: how many transactions are listed, how many rows there are and, if a closing balance is printed, whether the sheet ends on it. CIMB has a page on ExtractPro:

Frequently asked questions
Which CIMB accounts have an eStatement?
CIMB’s page on account types names “Current Account / Current Account-i”, “Savings Account / Savings Account-i” and “Foreign Currency Current Account / Foreign Currency Current Account-i”. An eStatement from any of them is uploaded in the same way.
Is there a route to the eStatement other than My Accounts?
Yes. The same CIMB page gives “Click on Services” and “Go to eStatement > View eStatement”, and the deposit FAQ has “Step 2: Select Services > eStatement > Click on ‘View eStatement’”. Both end with the month and the download.
What does CIMB say a locked eStatement needs?
CIMB says eStatements require “a PDF password that only you know”. Whatever your file asks for goes in at the upload step, and the workbook then comes back as for any other CIMB statement.
