How to download a Maybank Malaysia bank statement

Maybank Malaysia statements: View Statement in Maybank2u, the Email Statement Delivery steps, and what Maybank says about a statement older than a year.

Maybank Malaysia’s help pages answer three questions about a statement: how to view and download it in Maybank2u, how to have it sent to an email address, and what to do when it is more than a year old. This guide follows them in that order, in the bank’s own words, and ends with the step to Excel.

In Maybank2u

The FAQ on viewing or downloading a monthly statement opens with “You can view or download your statements via Maybank2u website by following the steps below.” and then “Log in via www.maybank2u.com.my”. After that come three instructions: “Select the account to view its monthly statement.”, “Click 'View Statement' and your statement will be displayed in PDF format.” and “Click on the download icon to download the monthly statement.” For another month it says “Click the dropdown to choose a different month's statement.” Source: FAQs | Maybank Malaysia, www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/malaysia/en/personal/frequent_queries/statements_receipts/view-monthly-statement-m2u.page, accessed 14 October 2026.

  1. 1Log in to Maybank2u and select the account whose monthly statement you want.
  2. 2Click 'View Statement': the statement is displayed in PDF format.
  3. 3Use the dropdown to choose a different month’s statement.
  4. 4Click the download icon to download the monthly statement.

Having the e-Statement sent to an email address

A second FAQ is about delivery by email. Its steps are “Step 1: Log in to www.maybank2u.com.my”, “Step 2: Go to your ‘Settings’”, “Step 3: Click ‘Accounts’”, “Step 4: Select ‘Email Statement Delivery’”, “Step 5: Click ‘Add Email’ and complete the information required” and “Step 6: Click ‘Save’ to confirm the changes.” The bank adds a note on timing: “Email statement delivery request via Maybank2u will only be effective on the next cycle of statement.” Source: FAQs | Maybank Malaysia, www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/malaysia/en/personal/frequent_queries/statements_receipts/request-email-statement-in-m2u.page, accessed 14 October 2026.

The dashboard routes, for personal and business accounts

The bank’s announcement “Transitioning to Monthly e-Statement for Personal and Business Current Accounts” gives a route for personal accounts, “Navigate to the Account dashboard.”, followed by “Locate the three dots on the right side of the same line as ‘Savings/Current Account’, then select View Account Statement.” For business customers it names Maybank2E: “Navigate to the Portfolio dashboard and click on Account Statement.”, “Select the Bank Statement option.”, “Choose the appropriate "month and account number" from the dropdown menu and click Search.” and “Select the desired account and click Download.” Of where the file ends up it says “The e-Statement will be available in the File Repository on the home page, where you can view or save your e-Statement.” Source: Transitioning to Monthly e-Statement for Personal and Business Current Accounts, www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2024/paperless-initiative.pdf, accessed 14 October 2026.

A statement older than a year

On age, the email FAQ says “To request a statement that is more than 1 year, kindly visit any nearest Maybank branch. Do note that there will be charges incurred upon this request.” The announcement puts rates on a printed copy, in two lists. Under “Printing of physical statement within 1 year from the original statement date:” the entries are “RM1 per page and” and “Administrative fee of RM10 per request.” Under “Printing of physical statement older than 1 year from the original statement date:” they are “RM1 per page and” and “Administrative fee of RM20 per request.” Source: FAQs | Maybank Malaysia, www.maybank2u.com.my/maybank2u/malaysia/en/personal/frequent_queries/statements_receipts/request-email-statement-in-m2u.page; Transitioning to Monthly e-Statement for Personal and Business Current Accounts, www.maybank2u.com.my/iwov-resources/pdf/personal/announcement/2024/paperless-initiative.pdf, accessed 14 October 2026.

From the Maybank statement to Excel

The file to upload is the statement as Maybank gave it to you, or as a client sends it. ExtractPro returns an .xlsx workbook with each transaction on a row, the date, description and amount in separate columns, every amount held as a number, and a balance column too when the statement shows it.

Two comparisons catch most problems: the row count against the transactions on the statement, and the final balance in the sheet against the closing balance, where the statement prints one. Maybank Malaysia has a page on ExtractPro:
