RHB’s statement FAQ covers the route in RHB Online Banking, the route for businesses in RHB Reflex, how far back an e-Statement goes and the rule for the file that arrives by email. This guide takes them in that order, quotes the rule to its end and finishes with the step to Excel.

The rule for the emailed file

For a statement sent to an email address, the FAQ says “The statement will be sent as a password-protected attachment to your registered email address.” It also sets out the rule for opening that file, in full: “Password Rules to Open Your Statement: Individual Customer Last 4 characters from MyKad / Passport + Date of Birth in YYMMDD format. E.g. If your MyKad number ends with 1234. And your birthday is 10 Jan 1991. Your password is: 1234910110 Non Individual Customer Last 4 characters of Business Registration Number + Business Establishment Date in YYMMDD format. E.g. Whichever of the three applies, type the password when you upload the file; the file is unlocked in your browser and the Excel file comes back as for any other statement.

From the RHB statement to Excel

The file to upload is the e-Statement you downloaded, or the one a client forwards. ExtractPro hands back an .xlsx file in which every transaction has a row, the date, description and amount sit in separate columns, the amounts are numbers, and a balance column appears when the statement shows it.

Make two comparisons before relying on the file: rows with listed transactions and, when the statement prints a closing balance, the sheet’s last balance with that figure. RHB has a page on ExtractPro:
