How to download a BNZ bank statement
BNZ Internet Banking keeps statements under Menu and Documents. BNZ’s five lines, from logging in to Download, and how the saved file becomes a spreadsheet.
BNZ’s support page on viewing, saving or printing account statements walks through Internet Banking from the main page to the Download button. Here is that walk, split into four steps, followed by two questions about older records and what the saved file turns into.
Menu, Documents, Statements
BNZ writes “Log in to Internet Banking. · From the main page, click Menu and select Documents. · Click on Statements and select an account. · Click on the statement you want to view. · To save the statement, click on Download. The statement will automatically save to your downloads folder.” Source: BNZ: Viewing, saving or printing account statements, www.bnz.co.nz/support/internet-banking/statements/account-summaries, accessed 7 October 2026.

What ExtractPro does with the BNZ file
Picked up from the downloads folder and uploaded, the statement turns into an Excel file whose rows are the transactions, each carrying a date, a description and an amount you can total, with the balance added when the statement shows it.
Two comparisons settle whether it is complete: entries against entries, and the closing balance against BNZ’s. BNZ statements are converted from the following page:

Frequently asked questions
How many years of statements does BNZ keep for business accounts?
For the accounts it names, its Internet Banking for Business page says “Past statements are available for: everyday and loan accounts – last seven years”.
Can BNZ export transactions instead of a statement?
It can. BNZ’s steps for that are “Click on Export at the top of the screen” and “In the pop-up, use the dropdown menus to select a file format and a date range.” The statement saved with Download is a separate file, and it is the one this guide leads to.
Where does a BNZ statement end up on my computer?
In the downloads folder: BNZ says the statement will save there automatically after you click Download.
